Magnetism is all around us!

Updated: Mar 20, 2020

Introducing the concept of magnets is one of our favorite units every year. Children are usually surprised with the fact that the earth itself is a big ball of magnet.

1- Magnetic and non-magnetic sorting activity.

2- Word Search.

3- A Magnetic Maze. ( You can use a real magnet and key and move the magnet across the maze until it reaches and attracts the key).

4-Types of Magnets 3 - parts cards so children can prctice the literacy part.

5-Then comes my favorite two parts of this pack: The 20 Magnetism Investigation Cards (Experiments and Research cards) which perfectly fit all age groups from 3-6 and 6-12. It enhances independence through explortation and conducting experiments to learn more about magnets. And the Magnets booklet that each child can fill out independently through the unit study. You may want to prepare for them all the materials they need in a tray or box. We tried to include easy to find materials around the room (paperclips, paper, magnets, playdough,..etc).

All activities come with a control of error chart so children can check their work independently.
